Every pipe cut creates burrs. Inside burrs restrict flow, create turbulence, and catch debris. Outside burrs prevent fittings from seating properly, which means leaks. Why This One
The No. 72 has two cutting edges — one for the inside of the pipe, one for the outside. You flip the tool between uses. The blade geometry is designed to shave the burr cleanly rather than gouging the pipe wall, which matters on thin-wall tubing where an aggressive reamer can create a weak spot.
