Electrical Licensing in Ohio
Ohio electricians must be licensed through Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB). All electricians performing electrical work must hold the appropriate license classification for the type of work they perform.
License Types: Journeyman, Master Continuing Education: 24 hours per 3 years Reciprocity: Ohio has reciprocal licensing agreements with Kentucky, Mississippi, Multiple Others. This allows licensed electricians from those states to work in Ohio under certain conditions.
