Electrical Licensing in New Mexico
New Mexico electricians must be licensed through Construction Industries Division (verify). All electricians performing electrical work must hold the appropriate license classification for the type of work they perform.
License Types: Journeyman, Master Continuing Education: 16 hours per 3 years Reciprocity: New Mexico has reciprocal licensing agreements with Montana, Texas. This allows licensed electricians from those states to work in New Mexico under certain conditions.
